Here’s a simple, repeatable workflow to make consistent 3D illustrations that match your brand (same color temperature, layout, and mood) across Facebook, LinkedIn, and your blog.
1) Define a Tiny “Brand Card” for Visuals
Keep this in one place and reuse it in every prompt.
- Brand mood: confident, pragmatic, tech-forward, human
- Primary palette (HEX): #0B5FFF (primary), #0F172A (ink), #38BDF8 (accent), #F8FAFC (background)
- Color temperature: neutral-cool (6,500–7,000K)
- Materials: matte plastic + soft rubber, no chrome
- Lighting: 3-point softboxes, global illumination, soft shadows, no hard speculars
- Camera: 35mm, slight top-down (15°), isometric bias, subject centered
- Composition grid: 3x3 with 8–10% safe margins
- Depth of field: subtle, subject sharp
2) Lock Your Canvases per Channel
Use fixed aspect ratios so crops never surprise you.
- Facebook feed: 1200×1200
- LinkedIn feed: 1350×1080 (portrait works great), or 1200×1200
- Blog hero: 1920×1080 (or 2400×1260 if your CMS supports retina)
Export PNG + a lightweight WebP.
3) Pick 3 Reusable Scene “Layouts”
Create three master scenes and rotate them so your grid looks cohesive:
- Hero Object on Plinth: centered, large negative space for headline
- Exploded View: parts floating, labels area on right
- Dual Panel: before/after or problem/solution
Keep the same camera + lighting across all three.
4) Prompt Pattern (Copy/Paste + Swap Nouns)
Use this as your base. Replace the bracketed bits only.
Short Prompt (for image tools):
“Minimal, brand-safe 3D render of [core object or metaphor, e.g., ‘shielded briefcase’] in matte plastic with soft rubber accents, neutral-cool 6,800K light, 3-point softboxes, global illumination, soft shadow on a clean [F8FAFC] background. 35mm camera, slight top-down 15°, isometric bias, centered on 3x3 grid with 10% margins. No reflections, no chrome, no text. Materials: #0B5FFF primary, #0F172A details, #38BDF8 accents.”
Style Lock (append every time):
“Maintain brand mood: confident, pragmatic, tech-forward, human. Consistent camera, lighting, palette, materials across the series. Composition space reserved left/right for headline.”
Size Lock (append per channel):
- Facebook: “Output 1200×1200.”
- LinkedIn: “Output 1350×1080 portrait.”
- Blog: “Output 1920×1080.”
5) Topic → Object/Metaphor Cheatsheet
- Security/IP: vault, shielded briefcase, blueprint with locks
- Automation: conveyor with glowing task tokens
- Reliability: load-bearing arch, interlocking gears (matte)
- Speed: aerodynamic capsule, motion-blur trails (subtle)
- Trust: handshake as soft rubber shapes (no hands, just forms)
6) Text Overlay System (Outside the Image)
Keep the renders clean; add text in your editor with a fixed template:
- Headline: Inter (ExtraBold) 72/84, #0F172A
- Kicker (upper-left): Inter (Medium) 18/24, #0B5FFF
- CTA bar (bottom-right): rounded rectangle #0B5FFF 8px radius, text white
Save these as Figma components or a PSD with three artboards (FB, LI, Blog).
7) File Naming + Versioning
2025-10-26__3D-hero-object__ip-safety__FB-1200.png
Use identical root names per channel so scheduling tools group them.
8) QA Checklist (30 Seconds)
- Colors match HEX card (no rogue hues)
- Same camera angle and shadow softness as prior posts
- Safe margins intact, no crops on key edges
- Exported PNG + WebP, < 400 KB for feeds if possible
9) Ready-to-Use Prompt Examples
A) “Keeping Your Core IP Safe in Freelance Deals” (FB square)
“Minimal, brand-safe 3D render of a shielded briefcase with subtle lock motifs, matte plastic and soft rubber accents. Neutral-cool 6,800K light, 3-point softboxes, global illumination, soft centered shadow on #F8FAFC. 35mm, top-down 15°, isometric bias, centered 3x3 grid with 10% margins. Palette: #0B5FFF primary, #0F172A details, #38BDF8 accents. No text or reflections. Maintain brand mood consistent across the series. Output 1200×1200.”
B) “Automation that Doesn’t Break” (LinkedIn portrait)
“3D render of a matte conveyor moving glowing task tokens, soft rubber rollers, neutral-cool 6,800K, 3-point softboxes, GI, soft ground shadow on #F8FAFC. 35mm, 15° top-down, isometric bias; centered with 10% margins. Palette #0B5FFF / #0F172A / #38BDF8. Clean, no chrome, no text. Consistent brand mood. Output 1350×1080.”
C) “From Draft to Done” (Blog hero)
“Exploded view of interlocking matte components assembling into a checkmark emblem, neutral-cool 6,800K, GI, soft shadow on #F8FAFC. 35mm, 15° top-down, composition with right-side negative space for headline. Brand palette and mood locked. Output 1920×1080.”
10) One-Hour Setup Plan
- Make a Figma/PSD with 3 artboards + text styles.
- Generate 3 master 3D scenes (Hero, Exploded, Dual Panel) using the base prompt.
- Export per channel sizes; save as templates.
- Create a cheatsheet doc with the brand card + prompt pattern above.
- Batch 6–9 visuals by swapping only the object/metaphor and headline.
